Leadership & Coordination

A Cambridge-based team supporting a global programme.

Based at CRASSH, University of Cambridge, Global History Lab connects a central project team with Teaching Fellows, partner institutions and learners across multiple regions.

The team supports the Lab’s teaching model, research mission, online platform, global partnerships and public-facing outputs.

Online Platform Support

Professional and Continuing Education

PACE provides online platform support for the Global History Lab learning environment.

Teaching Fellows

Local teaching, global exchange.

Teaching Fellows are central to the Lab’s model. They guide discussion, support student research, adapt the course to local contexts and help learners take part in a wider global classroom.

Discussion

Facilitating exchange

Teaching Fellows help students interpret lectures, readings, case studies and peer contributions.

Research Support

Supporting student projects

They help learners move from historical questions into research design, source analysis and final projects.

Local Context

Adapting the course

Because GHL works across different institutions and learning settings, Teaching Fellows help adapt the shared course model to local needs.

Students & Contributors

From learners to knowledge producers.

GHL students are not only participants in a course. Through History of the World, Qualitative Research Methods and Global History Dialogues, they are supported to interpret sources, build research skills and share new historical narratives.

Across the programme, students work with local peers while also contributing to a wider global exchange of ideas.

Support & Collaboration

A wider network of people makes the Lab possible.

GHL depends on collaboration between the Cambridge team, course instructors, Teaching Fellows, partner institutions and platform support.

Platform

Professional and Continuing Education

PACE supports the online learning environment used by Global History Lab students and Teaching Fellows.

Research & Teaching

Partner institutions and instructors

Partner teams help deliver the course locally, support students and connect their classrooms into the wider GHL network.
